What is a data logger? It is a device that that takes information from one or more sources and stores it in a central location. So then what is a DSM data logger? This is a more specific type of data logger designed by the Mitsubishi Motor company for use in its Diamond Star Motors vehicles such as the Mitsubishi Eclipses, Eagle Talons, and the now defunct Plymouth Laser. In the past diagnosing an engine problem was as simple as lifting the hood up on the car and giving a good listen to how the motor sounded.
