Are Windows Registry Errors Caused by a Virus?
I have been asked a number of times if windows registry errors are caused by computer viruses. Although its not impossible it is highly unlikely, typically the cause of windows registry errors is files being deleted or moved on your computer, which leaves the registry corrupt. This is just part of normal wear and tear when it comes to owning and using a computer so you don’t need to beat your self up about it. Registry errors are also fairly simple to fix using the right software. There are a few different software packages on the market most of which offer a free scan.
