Rest Goes With Exercise
In the world of bodybuilding exercise, just like in any other field of intense or prolonged training, the athlete needs to remember that sometimes the body needs to rest. At times it may be necessary to structure your training routine so that you have periods that no attempt to increase muscle size or strength are made. These periods should be incorporated into you bodybuilding routine so that the body actually appears to soften up. This may involve the loss of some size and strength, but it will pave the way for the growth stimulating training that will follow. It should be noted that training flat out for long periods can do more harm than good.
