The Results That I Have Found With Youth Football Formations

Football formations have been the cause of many defensive coordinators to loose sleep.

Any football team that like to run the football, will be using a power running formation against their opponents.

If you are coaching little kids, a great formation for power running is the “old School” T formation.

The single wing offense, invented by Pop Warner, is over 50 years old and still used today.

The traditional backfield with a fullback and halfback is called the pro set formation.

The wide open spread formation is difficult for defenses to defend the pass and run.

Defensive football formations vary depending on whether you are trying to stop the run or pass.

If you only have two decent linebackers, then look at running a defensive formation like the 6-2.
