I reset my own nvram!
I am not a geek really. I have an old ibook and I don’t really have the money to keep upgrading it. I do the free software updates, sure, but even though I’m on OSX I still have problems sometimes that the installation disc doesn’t fix. I learned how to reset pram and permissions of course, but I had a feeling my Mac still wasn’t behaving itself the way it used to. I don’t believe machines just get old and forgetful like humans so I did some searching on the web and click led to click and I realised that if I could somehow reset ibook stuff like a geek, then I might get better results from it. NVRAM was something I’d come across when I found information on my PRAM, but it sounded scary. There are friendly pages that explain the way to do it, and just know that you can do it- it’s not just something that geeks can do. After all, computers are made by normal humans.
