You have to be a bit savvier today when it comes to health insurance for seniors. Gone are the days with you had Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B plus ten Medicare supplement policies to choose from.
There are now Medicare Advantage policies and Medicare prescription drug policies They are also known as Medicare Part C and Medicare Part D, respectively. Many consumers will find that these policies offer advantages that traditional Medicare and a Supplement could not offer.
But they still add to the options available and in so doing make things more complex. Seniors today have a lot more choice than they had before. Exploring those options may take more time, but some of the newer options are both less expensive and more robust that the older generation of policies.
