A Labradoodle is not just for someone seeking an allergy-friendly pet. They make great family dogs, too. However, these dogs are not for everyone. They are not as low-maintenance as Retrievers. These dogs are not the type that tend to become lazy as they get older and will be content to just lay around the house if no one is playing with or otherwise engaging them. They are exceptionally intelligent creatures, meaning that they can become destructive or out of control if their intelligence is not challenged and they get bored. These are great dogs, but you should only plan on getting one if you know you will be bringing him or her into an active home.
