I am finally going to visit Tenerife. A friend of mine is going to school there and she loves it. She has been trying to get me to come and visit her for years, and now I finally have the time and money to do it. I was in an airport in Atlanta several years ago. While waiting for my flight I saw a woman who was traveling with five little children. Well, anyway, her little boy, who looked to be about ten, dropped his suitcase and it broke. His belongings scattered and he started to cry. I offered to help and at first she refused – afraid of my intentions, but I persisted. I had purchased a medium sized tote bag while on my trip and I picked up the young man’s belongings, put them in that tote bag, gave him a hug and told him that someday when he was older, he was to repay the favor to someone in need.

My company is sending me off on my first overseas business trip. I’m really anxious but excited because this will be a milestone trip for me in this company. I’m fairly new, so the fact that they have entrusted such an important meeting to me really speaks volumes about my accomplishments. They are even allowing me to make my own travel arrangements, so that I can choose where I will stay and my other accommodations. I’m hoping to make a great impression and have many more opportunities like this in the near future if all goes well, and I’m confident that it will.
