Heart of the Home Dining

As a newlywed serving in the armed forces we did not have lot of money to purchase new furniture. We had a little money that we had received as wedding presents and that went for a bed and a refrigerator. Not many blocks from where we lived was used furniture store. They had a lot of furniture that had been well used and showed the marks of time. Although I did not know much about furniture refinishing I thought I could learn it for what it would save me to do it myself. I learned to strip the old furnish, remove dents and scratches and finally how to refinish the furniture for every room in our home.
